A note from the innkeepers ...
Looking over our reservation calendar recently, I noticed we’ve got a number of “yellow- highlighted” dates this summer. Yellow highlights in our world mean “weddings”— some big, some not so big; many elopements—just the bride and groom. They’re all good in our book. We’ve hosted hundreds of weddings over the years, but each one is very special, not only to the wedding couple, but to us here at the inn, as well. We love to hear the individual stories of how each couple met, how he proposed, where she got her dress, what their future plans are, etc. … Each story is a little different, but they all have the same underlying thread: being in love, getting married, and sharing life’s journey together.
So, when you get right down to it, there’s a boat load of meaning in each yellow-highlighted date box. We feel extremely privileged to have even a very small part in the very big meaning of a little yellow highlight on an everyday calendar. We congratulate and wish the very best life can offer to all our wedding couples — past and future.
We LOVE “yellow” …
